Do you know what really makes you happy? Do you understand what things can bring you even more enjoyment in life?

The new grammar lesson plan ‘What makes you happy?’ will open your eyes to a new perspective on happiness and some rather unexpected things that can make us happier people. This lesson is perfect for adult students and teenagers of level A2/B1.

The lesson is based on a touching video experiment in which participants express their gratitude to the people who are important to them. It can encourage each of us to appreciate each other even more and remind our loved ones how much we value them.

When watching the video, at the teacher’s discretion, the video can be set to 0.75 to slow down the speed, as the video may be a bit too fast for level A2.

The main focus of the lesson is on grammatical structures for expressing future predictions and plans using ‘will’ and ‘be going to’.

On slides 3 and 5, you can check what students remember about the future tense before moving on to more detailed practice.

On slide 4, the names of the people are fictitious, as they are not mentioned in the video, the students should pay attention only to the photos.

On slide 9, the goal of the game is to practice understanding (meaning of the grammar), not form, which means that it is not expected that students will change the sentences (only if they are more experienced or perceive information quickly).

Create your own happiness and enjoy your lessons!
